Visit the V&A for Art, Design and Performance. Your students will get advice from and be inspired by leading professionals across the Creative Industries, including Jaguar, Arup, the makers of Minecraft Xbox 360 and Punchdrunk. Take part in exciting drop-in events and hands-on workshops including fashion design, ceramics, architecture and much more…
Find inspiration through interactive demonstration lectures or a series of smaller career insight sessions where you get to meet one of the scientists working at Imperial and hear what it is like to be a science professional. Students can also get involved on the day with hands on science activities.
What does a creative career in music look like? From performing to teaching, composing and more, this session will explore potential musical pathways and feature guest speakers, live music and interactive workshop elements. A Day in The Life shows the insider perspective on how we run one of London’s most iconic and versatile venues. Sessions for students will focus on careers and opportunities with German and science, sport, design, theatre and film as well as business. The sessions will be led by experts who have combined their knowledge of the German language and their professional skills. Join a special Creative Quarter tour where volunteers from Imperial will take you on a South Kensington tour of engineering. Starting at the V&A, hear about Arup's innovative engineering solutions, then take a tour at the Royal Albert Hall for an insider perspective on how they run one of London’s most iconic and versatile venues and finally hear from Imperial's team about how robotics can reproduce missing human limbs giving complete dexterity and could soon even surpass our own biology.
