6-10, 30-31 Oct
The Zamana Space (entrance Cromwell Road) is showcasing the architecture and gardens of the global Ismaili Centres, as well as the work of the Aga Khan Development Network and the Aga Khan Award for Architecture projects. You can also take a tour of the Ismaili Centre online here.
Every three years, The Aga Khan Award for Architecture recognises projects, which draw attention to the relationship between quality of life and architecture. In 2019, six winners, located in six countries and ranging
from a university building in Senegal to an urban revitalisation in Bahrain, address these concerns whilst looking ahead at the challenges brought by the currents of globalisation, inequity, socio-technological change, climate and ecological changes and displacement. (These exhibitions will be on display in the windows of the Zamana Space from 2 Aug - 31 Oct)
