As summer draws to a close and we set our sights on the approaching autumn months, South Kensington's calendar is adorned with a tapestry of opportunities for discovery, ensuring that there's something enriching and inspiring for everyone to partake in during the upcoming season. 1. London Design Festival  From 16th-24th September, visit an array of places celebrating and promoting London as the design capital of the world.

2. Skateboard The first major UK exhibition to map the design evolution of the skateboard from the 1950s to today – discover this story of design, performance and communities progressing together at the Design Museum

3. Halloween at the Museum Calling all fright night fans and museum lovers, join the Museum after hours this Halloween to explore their spooky side. Don your best fancy dress, bust a move at the silent disco, see weird and wonderful creatures and take one of the tours - if you dare.

4. Gabrielle Chanel. Fashion Manifesto The first UK exhibition dedicated to the work of French couturière, Gabrielle 'Coco' Chanel, charting the establishment of the House of CHANEL and the evolution of her iconic design style which continues to influence the way women dress today.

5. Films in Concert Experience cinema’s most iconic films with the score performed live by an orchestra in the spectacular surroundings of the Royal Albert Hall.

6. Bat Walks Be guided through Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park at night to search for bat species such as common pipistrelles, soprano pipistrelles and noctules.

7. Turn it Up Stop by the Science Museum to explore how music shapes our lives in this landmark interactive exhibition. Why does music have such a hold over us? What is it about music that drives us to create, perform, feel, connect with others?

8. Ciné Lumière The Institut Français cinema offers daily screenings of new and exclusive releases, UK premieres, classics, documentaries and family screenings as well as series, retrospectives and festivals. Tickets are only £5 for under 25's!
