Open House Festival in South Kensington!

Open House Festival is an annual two-week celebration of London featuring amazing events, tours and open days of special buildings across all 33 London boroughs. It is an extraordinary opportunity to peek behind the walls of some of South Ken's historic buildings, witness modern marvels, and experience the rich tapestry of design that defines this iconic neighborhood. South Ken venues that will be opening their doors festival include: 

1. The Ismaili Centre

Part of an international family of Ismaili Centres, a religious, cultural and social space for the Shia Imami Ismaili Muslims. The serenity of the entrance fountain to the roof garden reflects Muslim traditions in architecture and design.

2. London Open Form Pavilion of Air - Kensington Gardens

Self-guided access to the acoustic architecture of the London Open Form Pavilion of Air in Kensington Gardens. A floating roof of sound, GPS-triggered & accessed by headphones & Echoes app to playfully reframe public space as an essential community engagement. 

3. Leighton House Museum

Originally the studio home of Lord Leighton, President of the Royal Academy, the house is one of the most remarkable buildings of 19C. The museum houses an outstanding collection of high Victorian art, including works by Leighton himself.

4. Institut français du Royaume-Uni

1939 Art Deco Grade II listed building refurbished in 1950, then restructured and modernised in 2014. Contains an authentically classic cinema, private salons and multimedia library.
