After a preview run at the London Film Festival and more recently at the French Film Festival London, Lucile Hadžihalilović's The Ice Tower is released at Ciné Lumière from 24 November.
In the 1970s, Jeanne, a runaway, finds refuge in a film studio shooting The Snow Queen, where she falls under the spell of Cristina (Marion Cotillard), its enigmatic star. As a mutual fascination grows between the girl and the actress, their connection deepens. Directed by Lucile Hadžihalilović, The Ice Tower is a “mesmeric melodrama” (The Guardian) that won the Silver Bear for Outstanding Artistic Contribution at the 2025 Berlinale.

On 28th November 2025, Discover South Kensington will pick an entry at random deemed as the winner. The winner’s details will only be shared with the Institut français.
The winner will be notified by Discover South Kensington via email. If the winner has not accepted the prize within two days of being notified, Discover South Kensington shall select an alternative winner at random.
The judge’s decision is final.
