Created especially for this show, David Hockney’s new paintings invite us to pause, look closely, and find beauty in the everyday. Dive deep into the wonderfully meticulous universe of Wes Anderson in this landmark retrospective, created in collaboration with la Cinémathèque française. For the first time in the UK, the Design Museum has been granted unprecedented access to Anderson’s personal archive, built up over more than three decades.
With over 700 objects on display - from storyboards, notebooks and polaroids to puppets, costumes and miniature sets - the exhibition charts the evolution of Anderson’s films from early experiments to beloved classics. Expect iconic highlights including a candy-pink model of The Grand Budapest Hotel, Fantastic Mr. Fox puppets, and the famous FENDI fur coat worn by Margot Tenenbaum.

Celebrate the art of everyday objects in Hyakkō, a stunning exhibition bringing together almost 2,000 hand-crafted works by more than 120 makers from across Japan. This immersive show shines a light on the people and processes behind contemporary Japanese craft, where form and function exist in perfect harmony.
