The Great Exhibition Road Festival returns on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th June 2025, bringing together some of London’s most iconic venues for two days of free events celebrating science and the arts. From hands-on workshops and live experiments to inspiring talks and unexpected performances, there’s something for everyone. Here’s a sneak peek at some of the highlights you won’t want to miss:

Adults Only Zone

Grab a drink from the bar and chat to scientists and engineers about finding new ways to hack your health, while getting stuck into a unique interactive experiences like insect-inspired yoga, making textile art in a workshop exploring the fascinating world of the vaginal microbiome, and testing your gait and balance using movie-making technology to see what it tells us about the health of our bones and muscles!

Main Stage

Get ready for an unforgettable time at the Main Stage, hosted by Portobello Radio. Enjoy world class acts from the Royal Albert Hall, DJs, Ceilidh dancing and more!

Future Foods

Join us to explore the future of food. You’ll find out what foods you may be eating in the future to ensure you get all the nutrients you need and what crops we’ll need to grow to feed an increasing population.

Family Stage

Drop in and enjoy a show outdoors. The programme is packed with interactive performances, music and science shows especially for families.

Pond Dipping

Join the Natural History Museum Learning team and some of their scientists to discover the different creatures and other forms of life that exist in their fantastic garden and pond!

Gene Home

The LMS Gene Home is an immersive experience with a timeline of medicine that begins 22,000 years ago and transports you to a 1970s West Indian Living Room inspired by artist Michael McMillan where you can find out the secrets of genetics and inheritance!

Urban Wildlife Wonders: Discover, Contribute and Act!

Join a wildlife treasure hunt and make wildflower seed bombs as we discover the hidden biodiversity in London's green spaces, connect with nature, and contribute to urban wildlife research.

Molecule Detectives

Create unique colourful designs using inks, absorbent paper and water, and watch your masterpiece become part of a giant chromatography wall that will grow throughout the weekend.

Drop in Design: The Circulation Department

Create wearable art inspired by your senses with artist Gayle Chong Kwan. Combine images from the V&A with recycled packaging, before adding colours to make your art. Then wear your creations around the Festival!

Great Exhibition²

Discover future inventions by London schoolchildren from the Great Exhibition² project. Be inspired by young innovators, explore their creations, or unleash your own creativity at our invention table with hands-on modelling clay fun!
